UC Rocketry Project
Melissa
Melissa was a small supersonic rocket which was designed as a cost effective method of obtaining supersonic dynamics data and potentially performing supersonic control actuations.
Melissa was designed predominantly by Lachlan Matchett and David Wright and was Launched a total of three times, the last of which was an attempt to get a New Zealand Altitude Record (see http://tvnz.co.nz/national-news/record-breaking-rocket-missing-in-action-5786111/video). Melissa went supersonic on all of these occasions, giving the project it's first supersonic dynamics data.
